Daria Rossi Poisa obtained the Cello’s Diploma and the Chamber music’s Diploma  at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory of Rome. She perfected her training by international courses: Mozarteum of Salzburg, Gubbio, Fiesole, Ars Accademy of Rome, and with  the cellist M° Sarpe .

Her interest is mainly the cello in duo: with piano, guitar, double bass, two cellos,  diatonic accordion.  With these ensembles since 1997 she pursued a thorough research of a rare repertoire with unusual and charming sounds. She performed in  over three hundred  solo, chamber music and orchestra concerts: in Italy (in Rome for Istitutione Universitaria Concerti, the Auditorium of Via della Conciliazione in Rome, St. Ivo alla Sapienza, the Sistina Theatre, the Aula Magna of the University 'La Sapienza', the Sala Nervi, and Mausoleo del Vittoriano, for Vallicelliana Library, Theater Lo Spazio, the Church Saint Paul   and for many cultural associations :  Agimus, Res Musica, Presto con fuoco, Natale Festival nel Lazio, Il Tempietto at Marcello Theatre, S. Tommaso d'Aquino, Cantiere Musica, Centro Guardia di Finanza "Villa Spada", in other italian cities: Torino, Salerno,Todi, Cesi, Nemi, Soverato, Barletta, Visso, Ruscio, Castel Rigone, Verona, Treviso , Como, Sora, Alvito, Capri, Ravenna, Trento, Perugia, Pistoia etc) and abroad for Italian Cultural Institutes (Parigi, Nantes, Brussels, Antwerp, Strasbourg, Mulhouse) and many cultural associations : in Paris, Brussels, Leuven, Luxembourg, Chicago. Among the various programs there are the thematic ones: 'Women in Music' ( Women composers from different Centuries and nations) ' Popular styles in classical music', 'Travel to Europe between XIX and XX Century'.

She is also performing in concerts where there is interaction of music with other arts: poetry, literature, theater, dance, painting, sculpture, live drawing, puppets streets artists. Many performances in the cinema and theater (cello soloist at the Theatre of Rome Orologio in the show Rudolf and Sirera nel Todi Festival Massimo Venturiello, the theater Cometa Off with Carlo Emilio Lerici); she collaborates with “Idee di velluto” dance company performing music and dance on stage (AID Theatre, Terza Università Faculty of Architecture, Mardilife in Testaccio), with the Group Battito Flamenco (in Roma’s theaters Teatro Olimpico, Ambra Jovinelli, La Cometa Off, Teatro dell'Orologio, Teatro Le Muse) with Promart Tango Orchestra (Teatro Ambra) for original spectacle of music-dance-theater. She also performed with dancers and choreographers for original performance of music and dance with Benedetta Capanna (Roma Italia Theatre, Theatre Greco, Saint Stevens Fontanonestate, Bibli in Trastevere) with Giulia Fabrocile (Roma: the Ara Pacis Museum, Theatre Lo Spazio, Poggio Mirteto for Arteria Cultural Association).

She made recordings for RAI and  for Edi-pan with several instrumental groups and under the direction of Ennio Morricone.

In 2012: CD “ Incanti” ( "Charming" ) original works for cello written and performed by Daria Rossi Poisa. First performance in Paris and then in Rome in several places: Biblioteca Leopardi, Biblioteca Goffredo Mameli, Koob bookstore, Librairie Tra le righe, Rinascita, Galleria d'Arte Moderna di Roma Capitale, Biblioteca Vallicelliana.

In 2014 'Historias' for cello and accordion a CD dedicated to tango presented in Paris, Bergen (Norway) and in several Italian cities: Turin, Cuneo, Florence, Siena, Rome, Perugia, Bari, Cosenza.

With many Roma’s orchestras such Interational Chamber Ensemble, L'orchestra di Santa Cecilia del Conservatorio, the Nuova Amadeus, Kandinskij Ensemble, the Orchestra di Roma del Vicariato she has performed in prestigious venues such as the Teatro Regio in Turin, the Auditorium of Via della Conciliazione in Rome, St. Ives at Sapienza, the Sistina Theatre, the Aula Magna of the University 'La Sapienza', the Sala Nervi, and Mausoleo del Vittoriano in Rome, Teatro Comunale Salerno .

She is also cello teacher and music theory, history of music, chamber music and cello ensemble teacher in Rome.
