Cello solo
Daria Rossi Poisa's original cello compositions are collected in two cd entirely dedicated to the cello: “Il canto dell’Anima” ("Soul’s songs") (2010) and “Incanti” (“Charming”) (2012). Original compositions for cello solo, duets, trios and quartets, in which the lyricism of the instrument plays a leading role. Each piece is a tale of fantasy, feelings, emotions and passions, in which irony, smiles and melancholy also have their place. The cello fulfills the different roles of rhythmic, harmonic support, melodic line and countermelody thanks to its many technical and timbre possibilities: from the warmth of the double chords and of the low notes to the high pitches that cross into the violin’s register; from the pizzicatos to the harmonics, never losing singability. Links and rhythmic games support the melodic contour to create an intense and fluid musical thread that enchants the listeners, taking them on a voyage through charming atmospheres.
In her repertoire, as well as works of which she is composer, also the 6 suites for solo cello by Bach, Gabrielli Ricercari and cello repertoire pages of 800 and 900 composers such as Reger, Bloch, Sielicki, Sciortino, Theodorakis, performed in concerts in Italy (Rome for the institution University Concerts, for Agimus, for the abs. Res Musica, for the Festival of Christmas, for The Ass. Presto con fuoco, for "The Temple" in the Teatro Marcello, the Library Vallicelliana, for 'Ass. cult. Tommaso d’Aquino, for the Shipyard Music, to the center of the Guardia di Finanza "Villa Spada", Todi, Cesi (Tr), Nemi, Soverato (Cz) , Barletta, Visso, Ruscio, Castel Rigone (Pg), Verona, Treviso, Como, Sora, Alvito, Formia, Capri, Ravenna, Trento, Perugia, Pistoia) and abroad for the Italian Institutes of Culture (Paris, Nantes, Brussels, Antwerp, Strasbourg, Mulhouse) and many cultural associations abroad in Paris, Brussels, Leuven, Luxembourg, Chicago.
